And Once More Home

By Ronnie Ann

Quietly

Ever so quietly

She tip-toes back.

There is no fanfare.

No warm embrace.

Just the click-clack

Of well-worn keys.

She is home.

Welcome back! Looking forward to great stuff.

Hahaha! Not sure about the great stuff, but every once in a while I may tip-toe back. Nice to know the lights are on.

Thanks for checking in, Terry B. And congratulations on your beautiful new home for Blue Kitchen! My mouth waters just thinking about it. :)

Hello, Ronnie Ann! Don’t know if you remember me, but i was once VerdantAir in the blogosphere, and now i am back as simply “j”. I disappeared then because i got bored of blogging, but i will be trying my hardest to keep my new blog alive! I hope you’re doing well, and i too, am looking forward to great writing from you.

  4. Ronnie Ann Says:

Oh of course I remember you Verdantair! How nice to see you again.

I used to very much enjoy visiting your website. Please send me your new URL so I can pop by. Funny how we’re called back to the blogosphere in different incarnations. I have two other blogs I’m focusing on now, but am sure one day I’ll be moved to post again here. It feels like an old friend. And seeing you here just solidifies that.

Hope you’re enjoying your blogging. I find it best when I just let the muse call me, even if she takes her sweet time. ;-)

Silly me, forgetting to leave my url: On the Loo

Two other blogs? I know about Work Coach Cafe–what’s the other one?

  6. Ronnie Ann Says:

Thanks! I just added it to the URL for both comments. Love the name. Will check it out right after I finish this. (Ooooh…just took a peek. GREAT header!)

Ah…the other blog. I started it a while back with one idea in mind and then I didn’t have time for it. But now, it’s become my political voice. Will also allow me to refocus Out of My Head just a bit. If you’re curious, and I warn you I’m pretty hepped up right now, you can find me at:

    Just a Brooklyn Girl

If you have a different opinion, I love you anyway. Hope you feel the same. ;-)

  7. j Says:

Haha, thanks, i found the image for the header through Google Images. Too bad the resolution wasn’t big enough to fill the header (the distorted pixels annoy me but i can’t find an image better suited to the nature of my blog).

I have absolutely no interest in politics, and even though i try to keep up with the most important contemporary issues, i have a hard time finishing any articles/essays/posts. But your writing is always enjoyable and readable, so i have a feeling i’ll be visiting your Brooklyn blog often for critical information/opinion.

But in any case, i’m voting for Obama, and even if i weren’t, you know i’d still love you anyway. :)

  8. Ronnie Ann Says:

Awww shucks. Glad to know that, j. ;-)

Thanks for all the lovely words. And go Obama!

Oh…as for the pixel problem…I know what you mean, but it still looks pretty cool to me.

  9. SurfaceEarth Says:

Just had to stop in and read this again, it’s so lovely.

  10. Ronnie Ann Says:

What a nice surprise. Thanks. You’re always welcome in my home, SE! Hope all is well. I stop by sometimes (love to immerse myself in the flow of your words) but rarely leave a message. Still…know I am there. ;-)

Was thinking of you, and went over to say hi on the other blog, and discovered it is on hiatus as well. Sigh. Of course you must take care of you and your priorities beyond all else. I wish you well in all things, always. :)

  12. Ronnie Ann Says:

How nice to see you, ME! Thanks for the kind wishes. You must have caught one of my peripatetic brainwaves because I just today reopened my Work Coach Cafe blog. Will wander over and see what you’ve been up to. Always a delightful wander. ;-)
