The resolute rattle of time-worn trains above.
The animated laughter of rosy-cheeked children below.
The emphatic blast of a passing ferry’s horn.
The torrid whispers of soon-to-be lovers on the grass.
The irrepressibly hopeful street vendor hawking his wares in the distance.
No city built on cowering silence this!
