A bar called Hush Enigma in the South Devon region of the United Kingdom told a 20-year-old woman on crutches she couldn’t come in. Why? Because they said her crutches could be used as weapons – and they backed it up by saying there had been recent incidents where that very thing happened.
Uh… I hate to point this out, but I believe shoes, belts, beer bottles, mugs, and even chairs could be used as weapons – and probably have been. But to single out a woman on crutches and deny her access? Shame on you!
