Out of My Head is a blog just for expressing whatever pops into my head. Usually it will be about something that happened to me or something I heard about or read, but if a poem or short story lodges itself in my brain and wants out…well, who am I to argue?

I started this blog in 2007, a few months after my mom died. It helped keep me sane. Well, kinda. Then after a while, I wound up having to pay more and more attention to another blog; and so I let this blog sleep. Recently, having sold my other blog and feeling the need to write again, I returned. It’s a pleasure to have a place to just let words fly as they will.

Thanks for stopping by. Please feel free to look around and add your own voice.

  1. Hey Ronnie Ann! I’ve spent about and hour and half reading your blog this morning. I’m really impressed with what you’ve got going on here. You’re writing style is wonderful…and made me want to keep reading. You’re very insightful, intelligent, witty…and lots of fun. I aspire to be half as good as you are at conveying your message in a very eloquent style! I’m going to add you to my blogroll, as I think your blog is a “must see”.

  2. Wow! Thanks Manymeez. I’m humbled. Hell…I don’t think I’d read my blog for that long. Now your blog on the other hand is fascinating. (-; Love that you’ve posted the Declaration of Independence and The Bill of Rights. Good reasons to write those postcards, eh??

  3. You have a new blog! Looks good. Loves the picture at the top. Gives a “peaceful” kind of feeling 😛

  4. Hey Alvin! Nice to see you. Actually I’ve had this blog for almost as long as Work Coach, although the pic didn’t appear until a couple of months ago. It refers to a post called Wishing You A Day Filled with Butterflies!, although the blog is about anything and everything and sometimes even nothing. (-;

    Nice to see the change to your blog and even better to read that you’re working on your dream in your spare time. How wonderful! I wish you many butterflies.

  5. LOL Ronnie, thanks 🙂 Let us all strive towards our dreams.

  6. I’ve nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award. There’s no pressure..you can accept and move on with your life or pass it on to others you feel deserve the recognition! You can find my nomination post here:

    • You have a fabulous blog and I’m honored, even if I accept your no-pressure offer to simply say thank you and leave it at that. Anyone reading this might want to check out the not-always-so-cranky caregiver’s delightfully thoughtful blog – and some of the great comments from her equally amusing readers.

      Thank you!

  7. Ronnie Ann – I’m so overjoyed that you found me in cyberspace, so I could visit you! Have greatly enjoyed my journey today through your posts and look forward to your future ones.
